Allyson Lenton
Allyson is Ellen's direct boss. She is a hard working, corporate ladder climbing 'modern' business woman. She has known Ellen as a friend for 15 years and rose swiftly though the ranks in the IH. Very concerned with her charges she can be a 'mother hen' to Ellen and Erik, but she also has a sharp side. Hopefully neither Erik nor Ellen will ever get in her way towards the top, as Allyson will walk over anyone who gets in her way. Allyson is rich or comes from a rich family. She is used to the best, so used to it that she hardly can tell when she is being pampered and takes somethings for granted that she should perhaps not. Unlike most of the cast her 'species' does not match well with any earthly one, she is a mammal but has lizard like skin and a frill rather than hair on the top of her head. The rest of her body is hairless and her skin has a texture that resembles scales. 		Bridget
Bridget is a player in the Inter Haven's after work volleyball team. Rather she is a member of one of several teams. The same team that Erik and Lance belong to. Bridget is very physical, athletic, pretty and jealous. According to Nita she had her eyes on Lance for a while but has since turned them towards Erik. Since she and Erik have shared the same hobby for a while (volleyball) this gives Bridget a leg up in the competition with Ellen. When first introduced to Ellen, Bridget was very rude and flew away with a cold humph. While by no means a serious 'antagonist' Bridget is a spoiled 'bad girl' that likes to get her way. The more interest Ellen and Erik show of each other the more nasty Bridget becomes. One thing that is true for both Wisia and Bridget, they are from the same 'generation' as Lance and Erik. A generational gap from Nita and Ellen that has some significant effects. The most controversial is the sexual revelation from the 20th century 1960's which had stalled out in the 1980's due to STD's had become re-ignited in this gap of years. Wisia, Bridget and Erik grew up in a time when they were actively encouraged to experiment sexual in their youths. Taught to have next to no embarrassment in being nude, and to consider sex little more important hand an warm handshake. Ellen and Nita missed this change in attitude by a few years. (though in truth they were on the edge of this 'revolution' and did get slightly affected, just not in the sledgehammer format and institutionalized way the younger Hosts had been. BTW Lance is a special case) 		Sister Brilhante
Brilhante is one of the villains who live in the Haven named Gute Ville Nenhuma Ansicht. She is very clever and organized but has a sadistic streak that a mile wide. She enjoys causing pain for others and found her calling as one of the few female members of the cult, the Brethren's. Back on earth in the mid 1800's she was poor and had a hard life, she will not admit to it, not even to herself, but she basically made her way though life as a lowly street walker and sold her body. When she died from a failed pregnancy the shock of discovering an afterlife was soon soothed by her dedicating herself to a religious calling. But she was not satisfied with the pat safe answers the main stream churches in the Haven offered and migrated to the more extreme beliefs of the Brethren. It not completely clear if she really believes Brother Scuro saw the vision of Mary, but she has latched on to Scuro as a source of power and as an excuse for her to exercise her darker impulses, all in the name of God, of course. In a strange way Brilhante is attractive and though conservative to a painful degree, she seems to always ware robes a size or two too small that show off her curvy body. Perhaps and old habit she unaware of, left over from her street walker days. 		CrystalPetal-CS
By the look of Crystal Petal you might guess she was young and irresponsible. A throw back to the 1960's Hippies, yet she was born much latter than that. From the same time period as Erik, Crystal Petal has a full doctorate in temporal studies, which is a very advance version of a history major. She is one of the lead researchers that works in the IH's Historical Research department.
Ellen Burrows
is the first Host we met. Her job is to greet the new residents. Sort of saint peter mixed with a social worker. There is probably a lot more going on before and after a resident arrives and Ellen is responsible for that preparation. Biographies have to be prepared and digested, psychological examinations, legal review etc. etc. 		Eric Mayor
Erik works with Ellen in the Greeting area of the InterHaven. He does much of the leg work, preparing reports, and escorting new Residents to their homes in the havens. Erik is an extraordinary hard worker and is so serious at work that some of his coworkers are shocked if they meet him out of the IH. There his is very much the 'life of the party' almost excessively. In the past Erik has had a very active eye for the ladies and also the guys. (he comes from a time and place when sex was just for 'fun' with little more meaning than a handshake. In his home culture Gay or Straight, wasn't an issue, if two adults knew each other but weren't playing periodic sex games with each other then they could hardly be called friends!) Despite having slept with many people in the past (including some surprising members of the cast) he has never had any relationship problems with former lovers, how he manages to avoid hurting his former lover's feeling seems to be a secret skill that his is not planning on revealing. But in the last few years he has sudden quieted down. Even Erik is not sure why and is a bit confused about his own feelings. Having spent more time with people from other more 'conservative' cultures, he is starting to doubt his own casual attitude and wondering if he missed out on something deeper. Still the roots of his home culture run deep. He expresses this partly in his choice of work dress, tight shorts, half shirt and no shoes (well hardly anyone other than worker who deal with dangerous waste wear shoes!) Like all hosts his body is always 'fit' so no one seems to notice or mind him showing his body off. We do find out that by IH standards he maybe conservatively dressed. 		Gerek Hechelbaum
Gerek is a resident. The major milestones of his life were Born in 1900, Married when 22 in 1922 First child, David, was born in 1923 and her second child three years latter. Both children died from a bad flu season in 1933. Survived WWII in the Kaufering Nazi work camp. Spent two years after the war in a placement camp in England, He managed to secure a travel visa to America due to the efforts of a 2nd cousin who lived outside of Chicago. Havening lost his whole family Gerek did his best to start over. Becoming a driven and successfully businessman. He made and sold fancy buttons for ladies dresses and latter owned several small tailor shops. Gerek died from natural causes late in 1964. His wife Jolan died during the war, and though he dated other woman and several distant relative and friends tried to hook him up again, he never married again. Though both Jolan and Gerek were Jewish and raised their kids in a traditional manor, they were in their personal beliefs and behaviors very 'secular' and in a latter time and place they would have been described as 'progressive' or 'reform.' During their lives together, both Jolan and Gerek were very 'worldly' for eastern Europe and traveled far, spending several summers in Paris and other western Europe cities. Gerek was 'cutting edge' and saw himself as very 'hip' and were full participants of the wild 1920's jazz and art scene in the clubs of Paris. But they never became full time residents of any of the western Europe countries and traveled frequently back 'home' to their village near the polish Hungarian border. After the children died and Gerek's button business started to fail, they returned to their home village and got caught up in the worse of the 1930's prewar anti semitism. Not able to escape both Jolan and Gerek were drawn deep into the darkest part of WWII. Gerek is smart, quick and oddly bemused by the strange world they are in. Its nothing like the afterlife he faintly believed in but having already lived though many personal storms, he is taking the new world in stride. But he is keeping a close eye on some of the discrepancies and is deeply offended by the 'residents' vs. 'citizens' rules of the Havens. Though Gerek was no scientist or technical engineer, he was an avid 'science fiction' fan and preferred 'hard science fiction' which at least pretended to be grounded in science. The result is that he has already been exposed to idea that were very futuristic for the 1960's such as computers, Einstein and quantum physics. He may not know much about any of those subject but at least some of the language and terminology is familiar as buzz words. 		Jessie Drews
Jessie Drews is not a host but rather is a citizen who works for the IH under contract. It is not yet been seen if that means she can or can not 'wing out' Jessie is training Erik and Ellen to be able to be 'field agents' a lot of this training is survival skills in primitive areas as most the Havens are built for pre-industrial peoples who continue to 'live' a privative lifestyle. She is not easily impressed with the 'magic' skills hosts get when they are 'winged out' and spend much of her training teach basic hand to hand combat. During their training Erik and Jessie trade 'friendly' suggestive banter and they have traided at least one kiss that may or may not had any meaning. When not doing contact work for the IH, Jessie is also a private detective. Her specialty is to carry messages or conduit penetration missions into the Havens. This is mostly for historians who wish to ask questions from famous or less than famous people who have not yet passed though the citizen process. Many of the people she need to meet are in fact 'infamous' and therefor unlikely to become citizens anytime soon. There is question of the legality of her missions, and Lance does not like her and only tolerates her association with the rest of the cast. If he could pin a solid crime against her, he would have her locked away for a good long time.
Jolan Hechelbaum
Jolan is a resident. Her husband Gerek survived the war and lived nearly 20 years in the USA Though both Jolan and Gerek were Jewish and raised their kids in a traditional manor, they were in their personal beliefs and behaviors very 'secular' and in a latter time and place they would have been described as 'progressive' or 'reform.' During their lives together, both Jolan and Gerek were very 'worldly' for eastern Europe and traveled far, spending several summers in Paris and other western Europe cities. Jolan was very much the 'modern' girl and followed the Paris Flapper scene, smoking, drinking and experimenting with the new freedoms that the 1920's offered to her. Not able to escape both Jolan and Gerek were drawn deep into the darkest part of WWII. Now that she's woken up in this new world, she is a bit lost. Back on earth she never really believed in any sort of afterlife and discovering that she was wrong about that was a surprisingly pleasant shock. Without strong preconceptions about what the afterlife SHOULD be like, she's been able to slide into her place in this strange new life with less trouble than many others experience. It worth pointing out that she is very much enjoying the feeling of her new body which is based on an idealize version of her old body in its late teens to early twenties. The sudden new health and youth acted as a heady drug and he frankly jumped Gereks bones with in the first minutes of being reunited with him, in a perhaps less than proper greeting. 		Lance Cullum
Lance works in the legal department of the Inter Haven. He has a medium level position with some significant if bureaucratic authority but his real 'love' is the field work that legal must unfortunately handle. When working paper work and other 'in the office' jobs, Lance is clumsy and short tempered. He also can be insensitive and subject to foot in mouth disorder. But when working in the field, Lance is the host you want on your side. He has a real physical streak that let him let lose with the Host's sword in a frighteningly effective way. You can't be killed by Lance's sword, but he knows ten ways to make you wish you could. Lance relationship with the other major cast members can be a strained one. He has an outright hostile relationship with Jessie Drews (who has not yet appeared as of March 05) who take on the law is very different than Lance's. Most of the other cast members he is either cool or just lightly friendly with. Erik and Lance's relationship is more complex. He lived at the same general time as Erik and they knew each other and were friends on earth, but they came from very different backgrounds. Lance is conservative but is tactfully enough (barely) to not rub his disapproval of Erik's lifestyle too hard into Erik's face. Currently they both enjoy the same sort of sports (participants not spectators) and his main introduction with the other cast members will be though the various after work sports leagues they both belong. (See below for more info about afterlife sports) I mentioned that Erik and Lance are friends, and if you have read Erik's bio, you will know that for Erik that has some implications. Exactly what they are, shell be left for later exploration and speculation, but I can say clearly that in his own mind and attitudes, at this time, Lance is compleatly straight. 		Liberdade Livre
Liberdade was once a slave of the Brethren and was the first slave to be set free by Erik, Ellen and Mike. After making his escape, Liberdade started an army of freeded slaves and free farmers who lived near the city of Gute Villa. As their leader they call him 'General' but its not known if he has any sort of experience of this sort. 		Mike Scree
Not all of the story about Mike Scree has yet been told. What we know, He was alive at the same time and is the same age as Ellen and Nita. All three knew each other in collage and they were very close. Mike originally was Nita's boy friend and at first Ellen was 'just' Nita's room mate. But it was a 'crazy' time and collage was the place to experiment. At first it was inconsequential bedroom games which became more and more serious until all three became regular lovers. Mike has a strange and perhaps scary, taste for kink and their bedroom games may have been more complex than vanilla sex. That is not explored too deeply, but its certain that Mike has spent serious amount of time with both Nita and Ellen. After some time of this, Ellen and Mike started to become more serious, Nita sensed this and started to separate herself from the pair. Ellen and Mike started to make plans, and a promise of marriage was made, though no ring was exchanged. Then suddenly Mike disappeared, and it was not just a simple case of jitters, he erased all traces of himself from Ellen's and Nita's life. All means to contact him were cut off. This was a serious effort on Mike's part since this was taking place in the mid 21'st century when even the most backwoods parts of the planet is wired with Internet. Ellen was devastated and Nita picked up the pieces. The two stopped being lovers but remained friends and stuck together for the rest of their lives. Which is a tale not yet told. One hint is given. When Ellen does meet Mike again in the after life, she is surprised he is there 'so soon' yet she and Nita have been in the IH for over twenty years. Mike came back into the picture while Nita and Ellen are at a high class resort outside of the IH. He did not stay in the resort long, and told Ellen he needed a job. He also gave a partial explaination about his sudden disappearance in collage. It seems his family had money problems. Apparently Ellen did help Mike get a job, yet it seems that there has been no further contact since their meeting at the resort. Mike now works in the IH as a Host, helping the historians in Historical Research as a technical aide. At least one of his jobs there is to make copies of people souls at key points in their life. These copies are combined by senior technician into a complete soul, absent of the brain damage that would have been present had they only used a single copy taken at the end of that person's life.
Nita Danna
Nita is a designer for the Inter Haven. She works with thousands of other designers to build havens. She is a bit of flake artists with a passion for cave system and forests, not to explore but to design. Exactly how she does this is not discussed, but its probably has more to do with exotic math than bricks and mortar. Nita's is Ellen's best friend and they frequently have lunch or dinner out together. They do share many common interests, both enjoy the same sort of movies, books and gossip. Nita is a bit more outgoing than Ellen and had a relationship with Erik at some time in the past. It does not seem to be ongoing but there are still friends. Nita is very 'factual' and speaks from the hip, sometimes putting her foot in her mouth because she can be blunt. Her work place in the IH is very very hard to describe. None of the other characters are very willing to visit her at work, because its can be an uncomfortable place to go. Walls are not solid, space itself is frequently 'messed up' not just warped, but is some cases 'missing' Line of site may not mean very much in Nita's workplace world and the shortest distance between two points maybe backwards. To get an idea of Nia's world, find a 3d Shooter video game and find a 'break' or 'hole' where you can walk behind the scenery (normally god mode or due to a bug) if the game is large with many levels, you may get a real sense of twisted space. Thats what Nita lives with ever day. Because of this she keeps her home live VERY simple. No mansion, castle or even apartment for her. Her 'living room' is a big white space with some hanging pictures but no walls or furniture. More conventional rooms are off on there own with no windows or sense of 'world' just hanging boxes entered by warp doors and decorated in classic artists styles from different centuries.. Wisia is a player in the Inter Haven's after work volleyball team. Rather she is a member of one of several teams. The same team that Erik and Lance belong to. Wisia is a good player and even the 'captain' of the team. But Wisia has a problem. She is impossibly 'good' Wisia out does most 'saints' in her efforts. She runs charities, supports the poor, give ALL her time to all sorts of good causes and her 'only' apparent vice (if you can call it that) is the volleyball team. Oh she does have one other problem. She maybe interested in Erik. Where Ellen does not fear Bridget, seeing her as too shallow to interest Erik, she does feels competition from Wisia. If only Wisia wasn't such and outgoing and friendly sort, then Ellen would feel comfortable in her dislike of the girl, but Wisia welcomes Ellen, almost like a sister. Frustrating the rabbit greeter no ends. Is Wisia's persona an act? Who knows? Ellen thinks it is, but so far its a mask with no slips.
