Jolan: I'm still very confused. Erik: Don't worry it always confusing at first. Jolan: All these halls? Are all these people angels? I mean hosts? So many are dressed ... so strangely. Set: Erik and Jolan 1/2 shot Erik: Hosts, yes, for the most part. I'm lucky I get to wear pretty much what I want. Most assistants have to wear costumes to match their charges cultures. Erik: Sometimes for fun, I like to guess what time period they are working. Set: To nearly naked hosts walk by. One is a female topless with just jewlery the other is male, faceing 1/2 away from camera but there is a shadow that hints at what is in front. Erik: (off screen) Like her, she's working old kingdom Egypt. Jolan: Shameless! I'd never be able to do that! Erik: (off screen) I'd bet my eye tooth, he's pre colonel African. Jolan: OH MY! Is that real? Set: Jolan looking off set surprized Jolan: What!? Is that some sort of heathen god? |

Take a moment hear to talk about the 'furry' nature of the strip. Yes I consider this a 'furry strip' but some would also correct to call is 'people with animal heads' I don't plan to have the characters ever refer to their own apparent species. They might talk about ears or markings sometime in the future, but in their own minds, they are 'human' and see themselves as such. For the most part most the furry features are in the heads, with pointed ears and furry muzzles. There seems to be several 'dominant race groups but they DO NOT match one to one with real earth racial groups. The furry appearance may more reflect personality rather than species. The main groups are: Cats: Erik Rabbits: Ellen Mice: Nita Dogs: Lance Bears: Jolan Lizards: Allyson (to be seen latter) Equines (include bovines): Mabel (the office working that Erik talked to) Equines and Cats are more likely than some others to also have spots or stripes (equines include zebras) the markings are on 'skin' not fur. Lizards have a scaly front, spikes for hair and no body hair. They are still mammals. Species can breed together and the children tend to look like one parent or the other rather than a mix. |
