Jolan: That one looks like some sort of goverment for,
Gerek: (reading) Jury Form? Who would ever imagein that they would need jury's here? When I became an American citizen, then made me fill in lots of forms like this one.
Jolan: Jury? Do they think they would let us be on a jury? Back home it wouldn't be allowed.
Gerek: Home is gone Jolan, long gone. I got called for jury duty a few times in Chicago.

Jolan: You on a Jury? They would let a Jew on one?
Gerek: (off scree) Everything was different in America, but it wasn't anything exciting. I was summoned three times, but I only sat on one case, a car accident then it was settled before we on the Jury had to do anything.
Set: two shot of Gerek and Jolan now both fully dressed.
Jolan: Ellen, the ost I first met? She mentioned something about residents vs. citizens. I don't understand it, perhaps this has something to do with that?
Gerek: Maybe, well can't hurt to sign it. Show them we're serious about living here.
